Immigrants arriving illegally in the EU are facing a series of apparent risks, so their safety has raised widespread concern. However, they only represent a small percentage of the total number of undocumented immigrants that exist in Europe, receiving a level of attention by part of the political arena and the media completely disproportionate in relation to their numerical importance.
