Know the threats and prospects of development of the maritime traffic in the Mediterranean, abound in the legislation that protects it and reflect on maritime communications in the 21st century as a key issue for development, are the main aspects to be discussed this afternoon in the framework of the II Conference on security and development, which once again organize the Hispano Moroccan Foundation for economic and social development (Fhimades) in collaboration with the Institute of strategic studies dependent the Ministry of defence.
The day will have among its speakers to the director of the port of Melilla, José Luis Almazán; the captain of Corvette and a member of the IEEE, Joaquin Moreno Castellón; and Professor of international public law and international relations of the University of Alcala, Carlos Jiménez Piernas. The day will begin with a few initial words of the President of Fhimades, Jose Maria Lopez Bueno. Then, and moderated by the doctor in public international law and international relations, Vicente Garrido, a round table discussion in which three guest speakers (Almazán, Castellón Moreno and Jimenez legs) will address different aspects of maritime traffic, the legal cover which protects it and its importance for the development of the different nations of the Mediterranean will begin.
