On November 28, 1995, the adoption of the Barcelona Declaration established a new framework for Euro-Mediterranean relations based on a comprehensive partnership covering economic, cultural and political aspects and security. Just one year later, Spanish commercial information dedicated a number to the analysis of relations between the countries of the Mediterranean basin and the European Union. In the presentation was written that it should arise a Euro-Mediterranean region transformed, if it knew to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Association for 2010.
