Spain will assume the Presidency of the European Union in the first half of 2010. The Presidency of the Union will give us the opportunity to promote concrete measures in different areas that remain important for us, must it also for the Union. In such an event, the Fhimades Board of Trustees at the meeting held on December 15, 2008 agreed to a document containing various proposals aimed at the development of the autonomous city of Melilla and the border with Morocco and that, under the aegis of the European neighbourhood policy, could be worthy of the support of the Spanish Presidency of the EU. At least, this is our goal.
